Woman, 21, Struck By SUV Near Long Island Elementary School

A 21-year-old woman received minor injuries after being struck by an SUV near an elementary school.

The woman was struck about 8:50 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, by a 2006 Ford Expedition on Broadway Avenue, near Merrimac Elementary School, in Holbrook, said the Suffolk County Police.

The female driver was not injured. The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
